It is with great regret that I must inform you that the APC Premier Cup Boys Weekend has been cancelled for this coming weekend. With the amount of snow (6.5 inches currently) that we have received since this morning, and the threat of additional snow tonight; coupled with the freezing temperatures overnight and into Saturday morning, will leave the fields unsafe and unplayable. With the amount of out of state teams traveling to this event (over 85%) we feel that the safety of the players and families is the most important factor when making this decision. Additionally, we did not want to wait until the last minute to cancel so that teams would have time to adjust their travel schedules accordingly. We would like to thank you for applying to participate in this great event and we hope that you will continue to support this tournament in the future. We will be in touch with all teams about refunds and possible alternate tournament dates to complete this year’s event no later than Wednesday March 18th. At this time will be working closely with the APC Tournament Committee and all local municipalities to review all invoices and expenses for this event, and ask that you please be patient during this process.
If your team had hotel arrangements please call your hotel directly to cancel your reservation. Please ask for a cancellation number. Hotel contracts have an Impossibility clause which to waive any penalty if the cancellation is due to an Act of God (weather). However, reservation staff at the Front Desk may not have access to the APC Premier Cup Boys Weekend contracts and may tell you there will be a charge. Please do not contest the charge with the Front Desk. Halpern Travel will contact each hotel's Sales Department to invoke the Impossibility clause and to request that any penalty charge be waived.
